I smell a scholarship...in band...

I may have mentioned before, I don't know much about sports. But what I do know is that my kids would rather wedge their asses in goal with a lollipop than go coast to coast for the slapper to the five-hole.

I sure as hell hope they're smart, because the scouts aren't exactly breaking our door down yet.

MISSION: Monday GRAND PRIZE day TOMORROW!!
Come enter for the last time tomorrow for the grand prize drawing...Also, there will be multiple ways to get multiple entries, so show up early!!

And this just in...Anni over at Hootin' Anni's gave me a Best of 2008 award for my Hump Day post! Go see her blog to find more!

Thanks to Anni for this great award, and thanks even more for creating an award that didnt ask me to do anything to get it, didnt make me pass it along to 20 friends, or tell you 1000 things about me. If you have ever visited my Awards page, you know I don't do those kinds...now THIS is a great award. Thanks Anni!!

Congrats on your awards! And I really can't say as I wouldn't do some ass wedging myself if it yielded me a lollipop.

Oh they got time to develop their athletic skills...don't give up hope. :-) But yeah, slapper to the five-hole? I'm with Jiggety - sounds a little..ummm....suspect.

See you in the a.m. for a Mission. If I can get my ass out of bed...

Ironic I read this this morning, as hubby spent the entire evening last night discussing what sports each of our boys would be playing. Granted, they rarely go 5 seconds without some sort of ball in their hands, but still...I might as well buy my gold soccer mom jogging suit now.

I can just imagine the scene: your kids are curiously looking at the goals a finally ask, "but what IS it, Daddy?" And you respond, "I don't know, kids. I don't. Know."

What cuties!

I'm really just here on secret mission to tell you that the dog post below wins like all time funny blog post award. It does.

And the kids and sports scholarships are all over rated anyway, go with the lollipop devouring scholarship less entrants...

To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson
