posthumous pointer
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson

oh, but there is NO turning back now.
OH WOW! Good luck with that!
It just takes once to get her hooked!!! What a precious face!!!
Awww - LOVE it!
And sorry Dad, but it looks like she does too.
Em
I did that once. we fought and now we do this
http://wegrzynfamily.blogspot.com/2008/11/mani-and-pedis.html
Good luck!
Ah how sweet I want to take my daughter! Little girls need all that good stuff!
oh but getting a mani is part of being a woman!
What a sweet dad to put yourself out there. Agree with Deb....no turning back :) She'll love you for it (among other things) forever. What a precious memory you have created.
She's hooked!
it will be good mommy/daughter time! think of it that way:)
The photo calls to mind Norman Rockwell ... I could totally see this being one of his paintings!
You could still be ok, just don't buy her Bratz dolls or a little dog to carry around in a little purse.
Oh what fun for a little girl...but I am afraid that once you start with mani's it is hard to stop...;)
bahahahaha, you've totally created a monster. a beautiful monster. but a monster, nonetheless.
Nailpolish is harmless. It's makeup, short skirts and high heels you have to worry about.
Uh oh, i think she may be hooked already...be careful, if she gets a pedicure there's no looking back!
I was thinking the same as The Mom! Pedi and you're screwed!
I SOOO regret taking my 5 and 8 and 14 year old daughters to get pedicures last week the day before we went to Florida. They all loved it a little too much!!!!
You are so in trouble (as am I!)
Next thing you know, it's the stripper pole. Good luck with that.
Oh what fun...this is one of those things that ALL girls enjoy...next let her get a pedicure, and she'll be hooked for life!!
I have a rule when they turn 8 they can go with me to the salon and get thier little pampering session too. Works out great they get one on one time with me and leave looking pretty too. Ok Ok so I have only had the chance to do this with one daughter the other one is only 4 but Im sure shes going to love it too.
You're screwed.
It's just the beginning Jay, just the beginning......
you're doomed...my Mom started me on massages at 14, what was she THINKING!
Oh, that is so cute!
Welcome to the Dad's pay out the ars for little one's slon visits. Colleen trated Alayna this summer to a pedi / mani and now I am on the hook every 4 weeks. Oy Vey
you are in a very dangerous place with that scene.
Hopefully she's getting a nice cheap mani 'cause it can get pricey otherwise...
Who's idea was this?? Totally out of my realm of experience (with three boys and NO girls) but that appears to be setting a dangerous precedent! Good luck with that. (You'll need it.)
Welcome to life with a daugher. It only gets worse.
And then when you are thinking you've hit bottom, it gets worse yet.
Good luck to you! lol
Oh, come on Dad!! Maybe you should get yours done too...(they do have clear if you so choose)!
That's it, you're done. My 8 year old LOVES to have her nails painted. Her school doesn't allow it, so she'll paint them Friday night and remove it SUnday night to get her "fix" in.
3 out of 5 of my children are girls. I'm a girly girl unless I'm trying to impress my boys with my ability to burp on command (so ladylike)...so we've been the manicure/pedicure route. It's fun, they love it and it's a great little memory. :)
By the way, love your comment on my blog. I'm all for a pig comment here and there. Makes me forget I'm old and remember those college days.......
Ahh...I think she may just get hooked!! What a cutie!
LOL! I didn't get my first manicure until I was in my 20's. Oh did I mention I bite my nails? :)
YEAH!!!!!!!!
better hide the jiffy markers
Looks like little girl HEAVEN. LOVE the shot!
Ohhhhh! Next it will be eyeliner and lipgloss, Dad!
One time. Yeah....good luck.
