TT - What can Brown do for you?

I may have mentioned in the past that I work for a pharmaceutical company, and as a medicinal whore, I get lots of samples shipped to me. And long before those drugs prove to be life changing for a patient, they are therapeutic even as they remain in my home, fully boxed.

An entire game room, fully stocked, remains ready to be dusted yet again this month.

Oh they must be in heaven! It totally reminds me of the stuff we did when we were little, because you don't need tv and video games ALL THE TIME. Sometimes boxes are just as kick ass!

Visiting from Thousand Words Thursday ...

Kids and boxes ... what a lovely pair! My little one used to spend hours in her box bus, her box house, and all her other 'boxy' creations.

Why do we spend money on toys again?

kids and boxes, great match! they look like they are having a blast.

Now I know why cardboard box made it into the toy hall of fame. Even sealed they make great igloo bricks.

Any chance one of those boxes has a combo Lortab and Valium. Please send my way.
I always marvel that kids play more with simple boxes than any gifts that come in it at Christmas or Birthdays.

Who cares is they're dusting....at least they are playing together! Yesterday my girls actually made up a game of categories that included standing in mud puddles...I didn't even care if they were barefoot and filthy and it was getting cold...cause just to see the three girls getting along was a blessing! Happy ATWT!

Oh Jay that is so sweet. I want to jump into that little home/fort/playground they built and be a kid again!! I love it when my kids come up with all kinds of stuff like this. Everything is worthy as a potential imagination tool - love it!!

My daughter finds boxes to be the best darn toys ever created! She ripped off my son's Guitar Hero World Tour box and turned it into a NO BOYS ALLOWED clubhouse for weeks after Xmas:) If she saw this, she might just faint!

Kids and their fascination with boxes. I have to admit, I contemplate about whether to put to the curb everyone we ever get, just for their fascination alone.

When the Army moved us, their packers came out, and the kids were SO ENTHRALLED, cuz we're talking professional movers with boxes of all shapes and sizes. The mover who did their room let them have a few, with a marker to draw with (wasn't too pleased about THAT one, let me tell ya lol) but they had a blast. I was thankful for him, and those boxes.

I just hope that your son doesn't open one of the boxes, and then end up with a 4 hour erection.

What are you going to do with they grow up and tell your grandkids that they didnt have toys to play with....only boxes of drugs! LOL

Hmmm, I see the makings of a cardboard igloo!

Ahh! Kids and boxes. I just got a package yesterday and my kids have been doing the Mexican Hat dance all over the bubble wrap. Oh! My head! But they are in heaven. Big box....bubble wraps. What more could you ask for?

By the way, I have started a website in honor of Tuesday. I have your St. Baldricks button on there, and later tonight I will post about the necklace.

So cute! It cracks me up that they find the simplest things to entertain themselves!

Boxes are full of potential that the toys that come in them simply aren't... :)

adorable picture jay, all kids love boxes, it is so funny!

I think there is a metaphor in there...something about medication and children and surrounding yourself. Deep.

Cute picture. Kids really seem to enjoy the things that are not your typical toys. My sister-in-law is in pharmaceutical sales and my brother-in-law is in medical sales, so they have TONS of boxes and paperwork scattered throughout their house.

boxes are so flexible...you can make them anything you want them to be :)

Wait... that didn't sound right...

Cute Kids! My bil sells drugs to for Sanofi Aventis (sp)... I can totally relate to the crap he has to store. His trunk is full, his porch has stacks of deliveries daily and thats just what I get to see. LOL!

Adorable! Kids are so creative! I swear, kids need stuff like this.. not all that electronic crap. (I sound like my granny...) But my daughter has more fun with blocks and boxes and old sheets for forts than any of that battery operated junk.

I'd lose it if I had to have all those boxes in my house. However, my boys would probably love it as much as your kiddos must! Cuuuuuuuuute picture. :)

Shucks. They are just too cute. Don't you love how all the NON toy stuff amuses them the most? Love it.

Oh dear. I almost forgot. Clickety click. :)

I used to play in boxes all the time! They were the coolest toys in the world!

Laski said...

Gives a whole new meaning to "doin' drugs" . . .

J has a gazillion toys, hand the kid a box and he couldn't care less about those toys.

Clearly, I need more boxes . . .

My children always loved boxes. Now I'll bet if you put the little guys in say a dog pen, they'd be happy. And that is good to know in the event you can't find a sitter.

Are there cool pens in those boxes? My BIL's porch is always covered in brown. I wonder if you work for the same company?

I love how kids can be so imaginative and so easily amused with such simple things

posthumous pointer
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson
