Lake Powell. Were you ever in a moment, and realize right then that you would NEVER forget it? I spent a week on a houseboat with my family once, and had a week full of those moments.

One of my favorite places, and memories.

posthumous pointer
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson

12 grand?! WOW!! It's gorgeous!! And I know probably worth every dime.
5 nights, The "Admiral" that sleeps 12, plus we rented and towed a ski boat and a waverunner. Do it once, do it right.
where is this? looks amazing.
and no, i am still not speaking to you.
Lake Powell, Arizona. northern Arizona, southern Utah...it's about 100 miles long or so.
And I'm sorry, Deb...I cant eat sweaty bananas.
That looks GORGEOUS!! I have never been to Lake Powell and I have lived in Utah the entire 36 years of my life--I know--so sad!!
My ex-boyfriend's family used to do this every few years. I broke up with him right before the next trip...oh well....my Aunt and Grandma live where the London Bridge is so there!
ooohhh. i'm going to lake powell this july. can't wait!
Wait? where do you live? I recognized Lake Powell from the first pic! We have these grand plans to do a reunion with my way too large family over my parents 50th anniversary in a couple years.
Could be suicide??
One of the true natural wonders and beautiful places. You can get lost in a Kokopeli dance, swim in the suit God gave you and become a rock lobster. Me, Banon, Colleen, and Deborah went there and got lost for a week. Just a ski boat and our camp gear and food. I love that place. Then again I also love St. John USVI quite a bit.. Thanks Jay for bringing back some awesome memories today.
Wow! 12 grand well spent, I'd say . ..
wow, beautiful pics--fun time--great water--priceless (or, as you said, about 12 grand)
Such gorgeous pictures, what a great idea for a vacation.
TWELVE GRAND?! Wow, and Hubby and I were 'debating' Disneyland for Xmas because of $1500!
Looks like a BLAST though!
Great pictures! I love it there. I have never had the house boat experience though, it looks like a lot of fun.
Awesome shots.....
Wow! Looks like paradise...and I'm sure it was worth every penny!
WOW!!! I would love to try that sometime....except I hate boats. Glad you have some great memories to go along with your great photos!
This looks like a dream Jay.
(Have you ever used Shutterfly? They can create beautiful photobooks. With your pictures that wouldn't be too hard!)
i am green with envy. that is beautiful. i love boats. i love swimming. vacations are the best. forget all your worries, chill out, relax, don't even look at a watch/clock...no routines, bed times, meal times, etc. vacations are heaven.

Wow...what a great trip!

Wow, that is the yin and yang of the earth. Desert but with water. Nice.
That looks beautiful! Ok, you can borrow the money...i guess, bring me my purse!
A Houseboat? COOL!! I have wanted to be on one ever since I read the Boxcar children one with the houseboat!! It looks so FUN!
How cool is that? I love houseboating...I got engaged on a houseboat trip to Lake Cumberland...I'll always love that type of vacation!
Just found your blog, love it!
We did a Lake Powell trip too! We loved it, we are saving our pennies to go back in the next few years...at this rate, it will take awhile. It was by far the best trip EVER!
My kids beg to go back every time we talk about vacations. Your pictures are awesome!
