RETRACTION

I had originally written a post today called Tattoo Tuesday...the idea was to get all you tattoo owners to display your tattoos, tell their stories, and show the linky love to your blogs.

My wife had a problem with it. Out of respect for her feelings, I have taken it down.

Did you have a problem with the idea? Did I offend you? Let me know your thoughts.

And as one final tribute to a failed Tattoo Tuesday, take a look a this...My friend Tony sent it in. FANTASTIC.

Ladies, there are GREAT men out there.

Nope. But I am a whimp and have nothing to show. You are so nice to respect your wife's wishes. Guess I can cancel my tattoo appointment now.

I have tats & I'm not offended. If I could work out some way to take a photo of my back that didn't involve a flash & a mirror, I would have even posted photos.

I'm with Stacy. Why would I be offended? I just couldn't get a good pic of my favorite one (I have 5 but you'd never really know by looking at me)

No offense taken here! I didn't have anything to show, but I was looking forward to seeing what others had to share.

I do think it admirable that you follow through with your wifes wishes.

No offense taken here!! I just had nothing to show. I really, really do think you are a great hubby though for respecting your wifes wishes!!

So Frickin' Monday.

And Tatoo Tuesday eh?

Wednesday?? Wombat? Workin'? Weasels?

I have no tatoos, so it wouldn't have worked for me anyway, and some have tatoos in well....private/nasty parts...

I wouldn't have been offended, but I'd have been scared to see what showed up! ha!

I'm not offended but I think I can understand how she feels.

I was jealous! I desperately want a tattoo.

Nope, no problemo. I have two and I love them and don't regret them at all. Maybe another time!

Any reason why she was offended? I can't understand because it is optional to show off your tats on a blog and you would retain the right to not publish something questionable. Obviously I wasn't offended since I emailed a link to mine lol.

I bet your wife had a good reason for advising you against such a post. My husband has used his power of veto a couple of times as well. In the end I think it's better safe than sorry...your better off listening to her.

I don't have any, but I wouldn't have been the least offended.

ps don't you hate it when you have to change your post at the last minute!?! The couple times I've had to do it I was all "well frick. now what am I supposed to do??" I like that you still posted what you wanted without posting what you wanted.

None here--to big a wimp!!

How respectful of you. Most people wouldn't care what their spouse thought. Pat on the back from me.

Was she worried about too many ummm, fleshy, pics? I can see why maybe. If some were too risque.

Now that is the ultimate tribute tattoo for your little ones. I much rather see those cute little tootsies instead of pseudo ink portraits (the faces never look right - or is that just me?).

Unless people are showing off tattoos in unforgiving places, I wouldn't be offended by a tattoo tueday. My sister has A LOT of tattoo!! Me. None.

*p.s. I don't know how I got here.

oh! I was going to post a photo of my tattoo! it is on my ankle, so it is approiate. I love the photo of the guy with his babies feet!!

was it my calloused heels that grossed her out? it was, wasn't it??

i guess my cute little button links to nowhere now, huh? i should keep it as it is probably the one and only. or should i not? i don't want to cause any trouble!

jack has gotten each of the boys to write their names out on a piece of paper and is planning on having them tattooed on his, well, somewhere. back, maybe? their handwriting is horrid, but it's a pretty cute idea, nonetheless.

I love that baby feet tattoo. Now that is one I wouldn't mind my hubby getting! :)

I don't have tattoos but I could think of quite a few reaons your wife would be worried! That's so great you guys are on the same level that way.

No tattoos, not offended, totally understand why the wife might not've been on board with this concept.

If you had a Tacky Tuesday I could contribute.

Not offended at all! I think it is a cool idea!

I don't have any because I am a big girly chicken...but I enjoy Miami Ink and my husband has one!

I wouldn't have been offended but I probably would have looked at the computer screen through my fingers--especially since I eat my breakfast while reading my morning blogs:)

i don't have any tatoos, but the blogposts might have been very funny to see!!

Oh that tattoo is awesome!

I have 4 & people (generally) are shocked. "But but...you're such a good girl" they say. :)

Great blog, I'm a stalker now, err...follower.
