The Twit Pit. Increase your Twitter Following!

I know I've mentioned it before, I am Twitter's Crackhead Pimp.

And today I am starting a new Twitter follower tool I will be managing called "The Twit Pit". You see, for Twitter users there seem to be two things that help develop a Twitter following other than simply having a huge blog with a huge existing following. For the rest of us, the following two ideas ring true:

1. Follow other Twitter Users. Generally, when you follow other people, many of them tend to follow you right back.

2. Get on a "Follow List". That's where the Twit Pit comes in.

The Twit Pit will be a Twitter user list that I will manage starting today. If you would like to try to increase your Twitter following, and follow new Twits, do the following:

Step 1. Leave a comment to this post below with the following code in the body of your comment. Copy the ENTIRE code, beginning to end, to paste in the comment box. Make sure you replace my bolded Twitter Username (halftimelessons) with your own Twitter Username in both spots:

<a href="http://www.twitter.com/halftimelessons">@halftimelessons</a>

I will then take those links and add them to the Twit List below. The earlier you comment on this post, the closer to the top of the list you will be! The list will generally stay in the order I put it, so that people can come back and add Twits from where they left off the last time. Want better placement on the list? See below!

Step 2. Follow me at @HalftimeLessons so I can keep you up to date on the Twit Pit. Plus, I'm a pretty damn interesting guy 140 characters at a time.

Step 3. Follow as many people from the Twit Pit as you like from the links below. Remember, when you follow folks, they tend to follow you.

Step 4. Come back to the Twit Pit regularly to follow more Twits as the list grows.

Step 5. Want to be considered for the "Critical Twits" area at the top of the list? Impress me with how you post or Tweet about the Twit Pit. I will change these names occasionally to spread some top-of-the-list love around. Also, cash works...you could try impressing me with a shoebox full of twenties.

Nice looking (layout/colors as well as text) blog! I look forward to reading you and passing on your feed through my UltimateWAHDads.com site.

I have 11 Twitter accounts (each around a keyword) and chose to give you the I Learned It All From My Kids account instead of my UltimateWAHDads account.

Thanks for the good info here and the TwitPit!

Whoops... the link direction was correct but forgot to change the appearance.

My bad!

Here's the right one. Thanks!

posthumous pointer
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson
