Gotta Go To The GD Potty.

Oh Sweet Mary take me.

If my son tells me he has to go potty one more time, and then proceeds to sit down, let fly ONE DROP, and then ask for a jelly bean, I am gonna make "going postal" look like a geriatric badminton match.

I love that he is interested in the project, I admire his desire to use his God-given tool, now that he knows it has a use other than tugging.

But I am a selfish human male, and there is only so much I can take.

I just keep watching this video, and it keeps making me smile and forget how much I want to throw every fucking potty into the middle of the cul-de-sac.

For more Wordful Wednesdays, please go visit my friend Angie,
who is a tiny redheaded package of AWESOMENESS.

That is so hilarious! Probably because my three year old has been potty-trained for a while and we aren't there yet with my 18 month old!

That was so cute, but since we never gave any type of rewards for potty training (I'm lazy like that) the girls only went when needed. :)

I guess being lazy has it's advantages.

HAHAHAHAHA! That's why we don't potty train until the kids are almost four...at least that's what I'm claiming. Its REALLY because I totally SUCK at potty training and the thought of attempting it with my 2 year old makes me queasy.

We've never used candy.......I have a feeling that if I did when my twins potty trained we would have just moved into the bathroom. Just wait. As soon as he finally starts peeing on a normal schedule and you relax then he'll need to be "wiped". :)

Your dentist is going to love your reward system. ;)

Maybe if I had used candy, my son would have been trained before the age of freakin' four.

LOL Does he salivate when he goes potty too? Seems like you are trapped in a Pavlov experiment. ;-)

Oh thank you for the laugh and a walk down memory lane! My boys (all three of them are in high school) and thankfully fully trained. I gave up trying with my oldest. He knew what to do but wanted to wait until he was three (his word) so I did nothing. On his third birthday he was completely independent. They know what to do, they just like messing with us. ;) I let the twins do their own thing, and they decided 3 was a good age as well.

Then once they accomplish this task, they have to go to the bathroom every.single.place.you.go.
No matter where.
"I gotta pee" is the mantra from the moment you walk in a door, any door, till the time you take them to the rest room or leave.

Every.single.place.you.go.

We graduated from rewarding for every successful trip to rewarding a day without accidents and the "big ones" (or is that the big twos?). Anyway, it's been easier on the teeth and it's left a lot more M&M's for Mom!

Your kids are too cute! I started requiring a big pee pee to get jelly beans when my daughter pulled that crap. Not cool toddlers. Not cool.

That is just so cute!

Well, at least you have the video! ;-)

Potty training is NOT fun, I agree. Good luck, my friend...

"Whatever" - love it!!

Hubs was in the bathroom with Youngest the other night "See Bud, this is called "indoor plumbing," it's way cool, and you too should enjoy this modern convenience."

I've been told he won't go to college in pull ups.

Wanna bet?

My main reason for being afraid of children? Potty training. I'm so screwed.

posthumous pointer
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson
